Sonya Kreizman (Sofia Kreizman) is a classically trained American actress, writer and comedian of Ukrainian and Russian decent. She speaks fluent Russian and English, as well as conversational Italian.
Sonya studied at the Stella Adler Acting Conservatory and is currently training with Anthony Abeson, respected acting coach in New York. She created “Sonya in Fur” – If Borat and Carrie Bradshaw had a daughter. A hilarious, no nonsense Russian speaking character who advises single women and men on modern romance while offering witty commentary on sexual taboos. The series immediately went viral, with one video reaching over 20M+ views. She writes, films and edits weekly episodes with well-known NYC stand-up comedy writers. Sonya began her career working in TV and film production as an intern at MTV and PBS while attending Fordham University at Lincoln Center in New York City, followed by the Stella Adler Conservatory. After graduating from Fordham, she became a female CEO in the tech world having developed three mobile dating apps: jCrush, MiCrush and Joint Lovers. While she considers herself an inspirational female in tech, acting has always been Sonya’s biggest passion. She subsequently moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue her full-time comedic acting career while continuing her studies at UCB and the Groundlings.
A badass vixen with a killer punch line, Sonya is driven to star in a comedic production, either on television or in a feature film like Borat. Inspired by the female leads in True Romance and Kill Bill, her dream is to one day play a role in a film by director Quentin Tarantino.
