Sonya Kreizman (aka Sonya B1ade) is a classically trained American actress, writer and producer of Ukrainian and Russian decent. She speaks fluent Russian and English, as well as conversational Italian.
Sonya studied at the Stella Adler Acting Conservatory and is currently training with Anthony Abeson, respected acting coach in New York. She created “Sonya in Fur,” a hilarious, no nonsense Russian speaking character who advises single women and men on modern romance while offering witty commentary on sexual taboos. If Borat and Carrie Bradshaw had a daughter, it would be Sonya in Fur. The series immediately went viral, with one video reaching over 15M+ views. She writes, films and edits weekly episodes with well-known NYC stand-up comedy writers. For Sonya’s videos, visit her Youtube channel.
During her last year of high school and throughout college, Sonya has worked in television & film production. She co-hosted several TV episodes during her internships at PBS & MTV Networks. After graduating from Fordham University at Lincoln Center, she started her own tech start-up of mobile dating apps. While she considers herself a passionate female tech CEO, acting has always been Sonya’s biggest passion.
As a member of One on One, she also participates in various workshops with Bob Krakower as well as taking improv classes at the PIT, Viola Spolin, HB Studio, and other studios. A badass vixen with a killer punch line, Sonya is driven to star in a comedic production, either on television or in a feature film like Borat. Inspired by the female leads in True Romance and Kill Bill, her dream is to one day play a role in a film by director Quentin Tarantino.
